KG Shyju is the director of the Malayalam travel film Kaipola. The central character is played by Indrans, with Sajal Sudarsan and Anju Krishna Ashok as the heroines. Also appearing in the lead roles are Kalabhavan Shajon, Sreejith Ravi, Kozhikode Jayraj, Binu Kumar, Jordi Poonjar, Sinoj Varghese, Babitha Basheer, Vaishakh, Biju Jayanandan, Mahima, Naveen, Anu Nath, Prabha R Krishna, Vidhya Martin, and others. Sajimon produced Kai Pola under the banner of VMR Films, and Praveen Edavannappara served as executive producer. The film Kaipola is scripted by director Shyju and Sreekhil Sreenivasan jointly. The film's associate directors are Asif Kuttipuram and Ameer.
The film follows Appuppan, a culinary expert, and his grandson, a YouTube food vlogger.
